BLOOMS / ANNUAL GERANIUM SALE

The Denver alumnae chapter has been selling geraniums as a fundraiser since 1968. This is a wonderful tradition that continues today. Since the Delta Gamma Anchor Center for Blind Children was founded in 1982, a percentage of the proceeds of the sale have gone to support Anchor. Today, 100% of the profits benefit the school.

BLOOMS 2005

Ever considered how many flowers have to be sold in order to donate $5100 to Anchor Center? LOTS! It takes support from our many DGs and their friends and families. Our orders fill several semi-trucks that are delivered to seven stations around the Denver Metro area. The sale has continued to "grow" every year. This is an accomplishment our organization can be proud of! Thanks to all who purchased flowers and thanks to everyone who helped at the stations.

BLOOMS 2004

Jan Schafer chaired the Geranium Sale again this spring and it was the most successful sale to date! The Denver alumnae chapter will donate more than $5000 to the Anchor Center.

BLOOMS 2003

Jan Schafer chaired the Geranium Sale again last spring and it was more successful than we could have hoped. The Denver alumnae chapter donated $4000 to the Anchor Center. There were many concerns about the success of the sale, due to the water restrictions and drought, but the Denver alumnae were still able to give a sizable donation to the Anchor Center.

BLOOMS 2002

Jan Schafer chaired the Geranium Sale last spring and it was the most successful one ever! The Denver alumnae chapter donated more than $4500 to the Anchor Center!

There were many firsts ... the number of Delta Gamma orders increased, as did the number of non-Delta Gamma orders; the Boulder alumnae chapter participated; and the Phi Chapter-Colorado also placed an order. The sale has reached beyond Metro Denver. We received orders from Fort Collins, Pueblo, Loveland, Longmont, Superior and Eaton.

A special thanks to the women who donated their garages to be used as pickup/delivery stations: Eileen Cochran, Charlotte Davis, Louanna Gerleman, Dilsha Happel, Timmie Kulish, Sage Scheer and Jane Spencer.
